STORMY DELIVERS!

What an exciting day!

On April 30th, 2007, Stormy gave birth to a beautiful brown
and white colt. We've named him Second Chance because
this is truly what he has been given!
This little darling is just as cute as can be and very independent already.

There has been much controversy over the drug Premarin
(pregnant mare urine) and its use in hormone replacement therapy. Most women taking Premarin have been unaware of how this drug was made and the horrors that it creates for the mares used to manufacture it. The latest information is that the synthetic
alternative is much healthier and safer for women.

Since the demand for the drug has diminished and many horse
urine “farmers” have lost their contracts with the major pharmaceutical companies, many horses are now left with
no homes.
We were able to give these two lovely ladies and their babies
a safe and happy home. For the first time, their foals will not
be in jeopardy of being sold to a horse slaughter facility to be
shipped overseas, where horse meat is considered a delicacy.

With your tax-deductible donation, we can offer a home to
many more of these horses who have nowhere to go
-- but we can’t do it without your help.

THE PIGGIES HAVE ARRIVED!

These adorable Gottingen pot-bellied pigs arrived after being used
in a laboratory setting where medical telemetry devices were
inserted in their hips and then tested.

Pigs are very social creatures and are happiest when allowed
to root around and receive daily belly rubs.

They have been receiving that kind of love since arriving at the sanctuary. Antoinette, Bernadette, Geraldine, Louise and Simone would like you to visit them or see their photos and become
a supporter of all the animals at the Kindness Ranch.
