Rollins

Rollins 08

Rollins has so far been one of the more outgoing of our newest beagles. He likes visiting with people, and thinks they are especially interesting when they have food! This five-year-old also likes to play with toys, and with other dogs – even the big ones! Rollins is very food-motivated, which is great for training, but he will also guard his food against other dogs, so care will need to be taken if he goes to a home with other dogs. He has been walking well on the leash almost from the beginning, and could probably make a good adventure buddy someday. We think Rollins could do well in almost any home, with or without other dogs, as long as he gets enough attention and exercise, and his guarding behaviors are managed. He doesn’t have a lot of experience with children, but would probably learn to enjoy them, too! We know the right home is out there to give Rollins the life outside the lab he deserves – we hope they find him soon!

*Rollins is currently in a foster home in Wheatland, WY. You can get more about information meeting and adopting a dog from foster by contacting us using the information below.

JJ

JJ 01 JJ is a sweet boy who is still a little unsure of all of the recent changes in his life. This six-year-old is a curious guy, but still somewhat tentative of people. He will sometimes ask to be pet when you are sitting quietly, but does get nervous with fast movements or unexpected noises. JJ loves toys and playing with other dogs, though, and that’s when we can see is true personality shining through! He has recently become braver on the leash, but it is still a work in progress, and his new family will need to be patient with him while he keeps learning. He is most comfortable when he is around other dogs, and we think it would be best for him to go home with a confident and tolerant dog who can act as a mentor to him. We also think JJ would prefer a quieter home with older or no children, at least to start. He will need a very special and understanding adopter who is willing to spend the time helping him work through his fears, but we are sure he will reward them with unconditional love and adoration!

Elwyn

Elwyn 03 Elwyn is a shy little girl who likes other dogs but is still getting used to being around people. She can take some time to warm up to new people, especially, but she is starting to learn to trust. She is walking on the leash, and is a curious girl who likes to explore around the back yard and new places. This seven-year-old girl is food motivated, which helps with training and teaching her that people = good things! We haven’t heard her make a lot of noise yet, but that doesn’t mean she won’t find her voice soon – she is a beagle after all! Shy dogs like Elwyn often do better when there is another confident, friendly dog in the home. She probably would not be comfortable around small children or in a busy house with lots of commotion, as she can be skittish with loud noises and fast movements. She will need a very special, calm, and patient home to help her work through her fears, but we’re pretty sure she’d make it worth it!

*Elwyn is currently in a foster home in Lafayette, CO. You can get more about information meeting and adopting a dog from foster by contacting us using the information below.

Abel

Abel 84 *Abel has special medical needs that will require ongoing vet care and lifetime medication. Please read on for more information and contact us using the information below with any questions.

Abel is a sweet and gentle boy who is looking for a best friend to be by his side through thick and thin. He is having a good time here at the ranch, hanging out with his canine friends and soaking up the attention from all the staff and visitors, but it would be even better if he could find a family of his very own! This seven-year-old charmer has recently been diagnosed with epilepsy, but he definitely doesn’t let it get him down, and he still enjoys all of the fun things life outside the lab has to offer. He can often be found exploring the back yard with his beagle nose (in nice weather, of course!), cuddling with one of his buddies, or playing with one of his favorite toys. But what he especially likes is spending time with his favorite people, and he would be very happy to lay on the couch with you while you watch your favorite TV show marathon any day of the week! With the proper care from an attentive and considerate adopter, Abel will be able to live the full and happy life that he deserves. We are looking forward to the day that he finds his happily ever after!

Zoey

Zoey 22
Zoey is a sweet and spunky lady who is looking for just the right family to settle down with. This 8-year-old hound mix unfortunately came back to the ranch from her first adoption, but she made herself right at home at the ranch in a few short months. She can be very shy with new people, but once she learns that she can trust you, you'll see a whole new side of her! Zoey still has a lot of energy in her, and she loves to play, but she also knows when it's time to relax and enjoys a good nap as much as anyone else. We think Zoey would do best in a quiet, cat-free home, since she can get nervous around new people or when there is a lot of commotion. She loves other dogs, though, and we think she would do best if she had a confident canine friend to share her home with! If you are looking for a fun and mature four-legged friend, Zoey may just be your girl!

Freida

Freida 0007

Freida is an energetic, enthusiastic, and rambunctious young girl who is looking for a family who can keep up with her! This three-year-old terrier mix loves to play with toys, go for walks, and play in the back yard with her canine friends, and is often still ready to go when the others have all tired out. That’s not to say that she doesn’t appreciate a good nap, though, and as long as she’s had her exercise she will settle down at bed time easily. Freida is also a fan of cuddling and believes that laps are for sitting in, so she would really love to find a home where the furniture is for dogs, too.

Freida has been spending her time at the ranch learning all kinds of fun things, including working on her manners and the right ways to channel her energy, and will need an experienced adopter who can set some boundaries while still allowing her to have some fun. We think this athletic girl would really love to learn about agility training or other fun activities to help her burn off some energy and bond with her people. Freida would do best in a home without small children or cats, but might like to share her home with the right easy-going canine friend! Of course, she'd be just as happy to be your one-and-only! If you are looking for a dog who will always bring a smile to your face, Freida may just be your girl!

Odie

Odie1 1

*Odie has very special medical needs that will need to be managed for the remainder of his life. This will require daily medication and regular vet check-ups at a minimum, and possibly more advanced care as time goes on. For more information you can contact us using the information below.

We can't say enough about our sweet boy Odie. At 10 years old, this senior is most deserving of a forever home. Having spent his entire life in a research lab before joining us at the ranch, Odie is ready to live out his days in a comfy home with a family that adores him. Odie is known for his impeccable house manners and love for the staff members - he won't jump on you or the furniture, steal the dinner you just made, or rip up your favorite blanket! He'd rather follow you around and keep you company, get a good head scratch, and snuggle up for a nap on a soft bed. Because of his arthritis, he needs to take it easy on activities such as going for walks, but he doesn't always like to admit it! Odie needs a home with no young children as he likes his peace and quiet, and will probably be most comfortable as the only dog in the house. Odie is a big ball of teddy bear love and we've got our fingers crossed that his new family is coming any day now.

Roslin

Roslin 2855 Roslin is a very friendly girl who likes to be right in the middle of the action at the Kitty Bunkhouse. She will always jump in to play with a wand toy, and when she’s had enough of that she’ll roll right over to let you know she’s ready for a belly rub. She gets along well with all of the other cats and would probably love to find a home with a feline friend, whether it be one of her friends here at the ranch or another cat who already lives in her new home. Roslin is a cutie-pie and she knows it, and she can’t wait to find a family who will treat her like the princess she knows she is!

Ava

Ava 2775 Ava is a Queen in search of her castle, and we are determined to help her find it. At six years old, Ava is past the kitten stage but still has lots of love to share with her favorite people - as long as they treat her right! This sweet lady can often be found observing the goings-on at the Kitty Bunkhouse from a high perch, but she doesn’t hesitate to join the rest of the gang when treats are involved or a fun play session breaks out. If you have a soft bed, a sun spot, and some good head scratches to share, Ava would be happy to grace your home with her presence!
