Eleven New Animals Arrive at Kindness Ranch

Pet food companies use “palatability testers” in labs, intending to learn what foods dogs and cats like better. Kindness Ranch was contacted many months ago by one of the companies; they had a number of dogs and cats ready for retirement.
On Tuesday, 6/25, all eleven arrived to their new Wyoming home! This has really streeeeetched our facilities.

Help Kindness Ranch Pick a Name for This Sweet Beagle

libby Help us name her! She came to us from a lab in Colorado, and has no name! Kindness Ranch will be having a naming contest on our Facebook page for this little gal! We will have the contest open for the next three days, please post your suggestions and the one with the most “likes” will be considered for her new Kindness Ranch name! Please join us in the fun!

She is 2 1/2 and was used in a Fat Dog Study, in which the dogs free-ate a high-fat diet for 45 days. The rest of the study involved many weeks of a weight-loss drug and diet dog food. She now has just a few extra pounds that we’re sure she’ll burn off romping with her new dog friends in the massive runs at Kindness Ranch.

Another Adoption, Thanks to Foster Family!

Josh and Kendrick Taylor are a Fabulous Foster Family! They took in Zippo (renamed Sterling) because he needed more work in a home before being adopted. And now he is! We put Sterling on our FB Cover Photo to celebrate! Here is Josh’s post about Sterling’s new life:

Sterling/Zippo was adopted today by a sweet couple from Fountain, Colorado. What a great match. We could not be any happier for all of them. Sterling is improving daily and they will uncover the dogginess that is in him!

IMG 1622 resize A very handsome orange tabby who is 5 years old and is an angel of a cat.  He is outgoing and loves human attention.  Jumper would enjoy having a family of his own and probably wouldn’t mind respectful dogs and older children.

His favorite spot is on the big rocks in the kitty and if inside, can be found lounging on the couch.

Jumper enjoys his food and treats but doesn’t care much for wet food.  Jumper would also very much appreciate a one or two kitty companions in his forever home.
