In December, Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary acquired six more hounds that were released from a research laboratory. Chandler, Joey, Phoebe, Monica, Rachel and Ross are approximately one-year old and were used in nutrition studies.
Like many rescue animals, the dogs come to the ranch with little or no training and no idea of what it means to live in a home. The staff is working every day to teach the dogs the basic skills to help them succeed in a home environment. In this past month, they have been learning new skills, enjoying their walks and playing with other dogs.
Kindness Ranch was founded in 2006 and offers former research animals a second chance. We provide sanctuary to 60+ animals at any given time, including dogs, cats, horses, pigs and sheep. Since our inception, 351 animals were released to us from research labs and 243 former research animals found their forever homes.
Will you open your heart and provide a forever home for a former research animal? These hounds will be available for adoption very soon! We also have several other hounds and beagles that are ready and waiting to go home. Please visit our Meet our Dogs page for details!
